Circular 26-08-15, Expiration of VA Authority to Guarantee Adjustable Rate Mortgages and Hybrid Adjustable Rate Mortgages
- Important Changes in GI Home Loan Benefits - The Veterans Benefits Act of 2004 increases the maximum guaranty amount to an amount equal to 25 percent of the Freddie Mac conforming loan limit ($417,000 effective January 1, 2006), expanded eligibility for Specially Adapted Housing Grants, and established authority for "traditional" Adjustable Rate Mortgages.
